All Star Team

National head coaches choose All Start team on Women's Junior World Championship. Among best players, two of them came from Germany, and Denmark.

Denmark - Germany 22:23 (13:13)

The team of Germany is new junior world champion after they win in the final against Denmark with 23-22. Germans won thank to the goal of Franciska Meitzner ten seconds before the end.

Korea - Spain 25:19 (14:08)

Korea won the third place on the tournament winning the game against Spain with 28-22. Korea was playing excellent game, the players from Asia start very offensive and they were leading 11-4 in 14.

Romania - Brazil 31:33 (12:16)

Brazil won match against Romania and took ninth place in final order. Romania was better team only in first couple of minutes. Shortly after Basil was team that has control of the situation. Brazil raised advantage up to four goals and finished first half with 16:12 in favor.

Hungary - Croatia 28:24 (12:15)

Hungary walks through finish line as fifth. Hungarian team beat Croatia 28:24 in a thrilling match in which Croatians had a seven goal lead at one period.

France - Montenegro 42:35 (17:14)

France beat Montenegro in the battle for the seventh place in final standing at the Championship. Montenegro is one of the pleasent surprises at the tournament taking eight place at their debut.

Argentina - Angola 24:29 (13:13)

Angola took the 11th place in final standing at the Championship after beating Argentina with 29:24 but both teams can be satisfied cause this is the best placement for them by now. The match was decided in the first ten minutes of the second half when Angola scored six times in a row to take a 20:14 lead. Angola was not a better team in the first half and Argentina utilized mistakes in their game to take a lead few times.

Spain - Germany 22:28 (12:12)

Germany manage to win the second semifinal against Spain with 28-22 and to take place in the finals, where they will play against Denmark.

Denmark - Korea 32:28 (16:14)

The team of Denmark is the first finalist on the tournament, after they beat Korea in the first semifinal with 32-28. Scandinavians deserve to go to the finals, because they were better team, they were faster and stronger during all the match, their main weapon were their super fast breaks. The first ten minutes of the game were decisive because Danish players score six and receive only one goal. Goalkeeper Sandra Toft make six saves which was enough for Denmark to make big difference

Iceland - Japan 27:26 (15:12)

Iceland finished as a thirteen after tight victory over Japan. In a dynamic and interesting match islanders were more focused and secure victory.

Slovenia - Algeria 33:27 (17:12)

Slovenia finished at the 15th place after beating Algeria with 33:27 in a boring match in which both teams played with no real motivation.

MHF and IHF PRESS

IHF officials Carin Nilsson Green and Manoel Luis Oliveira talked about the World Championship at the press-conference held in VIP room in “Kale” sports hall in Skopje.

Macedonia - Chinese Taipei 25:26 (15:12)

Chinese Taipei took the 17th place at the Championship adding more disappointment to host team. It was a bitter end for Macedonian team who finished only above Kazakhstan and Australia.

Australia - Kazakhstan 22:32 (13:15)

Newcomers Kazakhstan left Australia at the bottom of the standing after beat them in the match for the 19th place at the Championship. Australia was competitive for the most of the match so the result doesn’t reflect the situation seen at the field. Australia took an early 4:1 lead and Kazakhstan even the score for the first time only in the 16th minute (15:15).

Slovenia - Australia 42:14 (24:06)

In these kinds of matches where the winner is known before the beginning, there is no excitement. The Slovenian players won easily. They played just like on their trainings, and this is maybe the easiest match for them in the world championship
